Inclusion of Recorded Voice/Video Interview
Recorded Audio/Video Interview is so important these days with the high-tech listening devices now employed by law enforcement. Just one snip-it of a voice track can positively identify a missing person. The Video records manerisms and multi-view appearances that give much more information than does a still picture. The major challange today is encountered by those jurisdictions who have been recording interviews on VHS tapes needing to upgrade their technology to burning CDs or DVDs either in computers or directly in the cameras themselves. Each jurisdiction is left to their own devices to determine what method and which equipment they can best afford and best apply to upgrade their technology. We will be highlighting various equipment systems and other new developments on this website, as we receive the information from the jurisdictions.
Inclusion of digital still photo front, side and rear view
Digital imaging has advanced to a point that the shape of the ear and the back of the head are as distinctive as a fingerprint and it can be programmed into servalence cameras in airports and shopping malles to detect and recognize in heavy passing crowds
Inclusion of DNA Identifying Item - Dental Impression Wafer and/or Cheek Swab
In most jurisdictions this requires the enlistment of qualified volunteers to generate dental impressions or cheek swaps to assure the items sealed uncontaminated in sterile bags, properly identified.
This necessitates the fostering of partnerships with dental and medical professionals in States that are so regulated. In many States, the generation of dental impression wafers is viewed as a dental procedure, and the taking of cheek swab samples as a medical procedure, only licensed professionals can engage in. Check with your State Board of Registry (medical board or dental board) to avoid any law suits for illegal practice of dentistry or medicine.
State Dental Association/Society, Dental Hygenist and Dental Assistant Organizations are aware of MasoniCHIP as our spokesperson Dr David Harte has appeared as keynote speaker a numerous national and regional conferences of these associations. Give your local organization a call, mention MASONICHIP and the Toothprints® dental wafers, it will open doors to help you foster successful partnerships.
