In 1999 he was instrumental in chartering the Widows Sons Masonic Riders Association, Connecticut Grand Chapter and still serves as an elected officer.

In 1987 At the age of 30 Chip married his wife Cynthia, retired from the Automotive industry to help run the family construction company, built his dream house and had his first of two daughters Anastasia all in the same year. Chip worked his way up the officer’s line in his local Masonic Lodge, serving three times as Master of Sequin-Level Lodge No.140 in Newington in 1992, 1998 and 2008. Each time he set innovative programs in place for those who would follow him to maintain and enjoy.

Brother Chip Stamm served nine years as a Grand Lodge Officer in Connecticut and nine years on the various Boards of Directors of Masonicare Inc. He was elected and installed Grand Master of Connecticut in March 2003 when he established the office of Grand Master as CEO of Connecticut Freemasons. He submitted application to form the Connecticut Freemasons Foundation as a 501(c)(3) public foundation and continues to serve as Chairman of the Board. The Connecticut Child Identification Program (CTCHIP) is operated under this foundation.

Chip had a busy year as Grand Master in 2003-2004 establishing CTCHIP under a foundation, launching a monthly newspaper to all members the “Connecticut Freemasons”, and establishing an internet website for every Lodge in Connecticut.

At the 2004 Conference of Grand Masters, after a motivating presentation by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, it was he who approached the podium in Washington DC as Grand Master of Connecticut and made resolution to form a standing committee on Masonic Child Identification Program Support. Fifty-four of fifty-eight delegate Grand Masters agreed, Masonichip was established, Conference delegates were enlisted as committee members to take action in support of the numerous Masonic Child ID Programs in place across North America and Chip Stamm was selected as Chairman. The work began to carve out a mission goals and objective of the new committee. The Nation Center made us cognoscente of the need for Abduction Awareness, Safe Kids Education and the generation of “completed packs” of identifying items of children to be given to parents at “No Cost”.

Five years and two name changes under his leadership and tireless efforts, Masonichip International, Inc. a Connecticut Corporation received final declaration in March of 2009 from the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) public foundation.

Clifford “Chip” Stamm serves Masonichip International, Inc as Chairman of the Board and is our “energizer bunny” and perpetual impetuous youth. He rarely sleeps more than 4 hours at a time and every time he puts his head on the pillow another idea pops out for all to consider and follow up on. His enthusiasm is a great motivator of men, his management experience and practical knowledge lends to great flexibility and successful problem solving.

No the program is not named after him as his family has called him “Chipper” since his childhood. Its name was an attraction to him to learn more about this vital Lodge-Based community service initiative, when in 1998 he heard of MYCHIP in Massachusetts. The rest is history, or to coin a phrase Chip often uses…MORE TO FOLLOW. Email Chip.
