The MasoniCHIP SUPPORT Committee (2004-2005) was the predicesor of National Masonichip Foundation (2006-2008) and it the predicessor of Masonichip International (2009 to present). It was committed to building an international initiative of Freemasons conducting “Masonic Child Identification Program Events” in North America, thereby raising public awareness concerning the risk of abduction or exploitation that children face in today’s society. MCSC encourages and assists interested jurisdictions to partner with law enforcement, constituent state associations and societies of the American Dental Association (ADA), and others.
MCSC has secured the strong support of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and on February 19th, 2007 received the SPECIAL AWARD OF COMMENDATION from NCMEC Director of Operation and Training Peter Banks at the Conference of Grand Masters of North America in Portland Oregon.
Our mission: Support and Encourage Freemasons Making a Difference in North America utilizing MasoniCHIP. Our goal is to conduct EVENTS in our communities so that ANY parent wanting their children to receive this “free comprehensive service” will find it regularly offered.
This standing committee consists of members from each of the seven (7) geographic area conferences of Grand Masters and five (5) members of the Executive Committee. The primary objectives of the executive committee are:
- Define the nature and form of MasoniCHIP Support and collaborate with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
- Engage and encourage Grand Masters in additional jurisdictions to appoint State/ Provincial MasoniCHIP Directors and include them in electronic communication and education.
- Record progress of the expansion of MasoniCHIP and deliver an annual report to the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America each February.
- Develop, maintain, manage and utilize a national interactive web server system and electronic communication through which to lend support, educate and provide other services as may be required to jurisdictions interested in engaging in MASONIC CHIP.
- Create a web based central purchasing entity, to assist interested jurisdictions in obtaining critical elements of MasoniCHIP.
- Foster such other recognition and relationships with national organizations in the arena of child identification as may be advantageous to our mission.
