PLEDGE 25 MINUTES
Masonic Child Id Events now evolved into “TAKE 25” Events (take25.pdf) (talkpoints.pdf)
ONE-TWO-PUNCH of high tech child id and pipeline of ongoing safety information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) continues to serve as a valuable deterrent against perpetrators of child exploitation. The NCMEC provides a direct link to the latest educational materials and innovations of teaching techniques. The MASONIC LODGES of North America partnered since 2007 with the NCMEC through their 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation MASONICHIP INTERNATIONAL of the Conference of Grand Masters. It is estimated that the local MASONIC LODGES have generated over 2 million completed child identification packs at “no cost” for parents to take with them and always have available. The Masons continue to include and hand out printed safety tips and exploitation prevention education materials at thousands of community Child ID / Safety Education Events sponsored each year by Masonic Lodges.
TAKE 25 minutes to talk to a child about SAFETY (flyer4.pdf) (Pledge-email-form.pdf)
Over the past five years, Masonichip International President Dennis “Denny” Robinson has served on the “TAKE 25” advisory board to evolve and build the Take 25 program. This year TAKE 25 runs from April 1st, 2012 to June 15th, 2012. In addition to sponsoring EVENTS we as a premier partner and ambassadors of child safety, are encouraging adults over age 18 to PLEDGE 25 MINUTES to talk to a child about safety. Masonic Lodges across North America are submitting names and email addresses to the NCMEC of those who pledge to TAKE 25 minutes. They have committed to collecting pledges for 5000 hours...25 minutes at a time totaling 12,000 email adresses. Those who submit their name and email through the Masons to the National Center will continue to receive monthly emails on TAKE 25 (sampleTAKE25email) and NETSMARTZ sampleNETSMARTZemail . The resouses below provide info on getting the materials and “Conversation Starters” you need to converse fluently on child safety at school, in your community and on the internet…
